In 2004, Sonja was diagnosed with an illness and told by her doctors she needed to stop working. She has recovered from her illness but has not had the chance to go back to work in more than 12 years. As part of our #life4homeless campaign, founder Sunny Chae believes that in order to stay off the street and turn away from homelessness, each person must learn or re-learn necessary life skills (fishing, crafts, computers, budgeting etc) to work in society again. Sonja is learning how to use a computer and has been given a chance to train in the office of the Rejoice in Hope Foundation to help her gain new skills and her confidence in the workplace. Today was Day 1 of her new journey. You are never too old to learn and if you open your heart someone will be there to help you. Comments are closed.
