The Rejoice in Hope Foundation has really motivated Raven and myself to do our part in combating homelessness in our community. We both have registered as volunteers with The Family Shelter in Columbia SC. The Family Shelter provides emergency shelter services for homeless children and their parents. In addition, they help residents build life skills in order to regain independence. Raven and I are ready, willing, and able to begin this journey. Thank you for opening our eyes and bringing awareness to this issue. - Sheila and Raven Gilliard, Columbia SC
This is our journey to make a #life4homeless. Person by person, piece by piece.
These are tough times. We can no longer ignore the problem of homelessness. It is up to us to go into our local communities and giving the homeless a hand up, not just a hand out. We live through, we serve through”.
By helping one another in our communities across the country, we can make a significant impact on the homeless problem not just in Los Angeles, but around the world. “We are not looking to give them a handout, we want to give them life".
